Topic Overview

Arabic language is a rich language and most of the people think of it as a hard language to learn. I have tried online lessons to learn the English language and from this I experienced, how to create a good online Arabic lesson that would be suitable to my learners. I knew that it is important as a designer to know the level of my audience and what they already know before designing my lesson to provide a good online lesson that is going help them learning the Arabic language. My audience will be new students who are eager to learn the basic parts of the Arabic language. Learners will be able to learn the Arabic Alphabets from my WebQuest that I am going to create for this phase. At the end of this project, the learners will be able to pronounce all the Arabic Alphabets and even memorize it.

Task

Learners will find the instruction in the Introduction page that will give them a clear idea of what they are going to learn. I will provide my learners with some video tutorials to help them understand more about the Arabic language.

Process/ Guidance

There will be some steps that the learners have to follow in order for them to finish the project correctly. Learners will watch some online vides and listen to basic short conversations to help them understand and know more about the Arabic Alphabets. After that, the learners will see some pictures that will help them pronouncing and memorizing the Alphabets. Finally, they will work either individually or in-group listening, repeating and writing all the Alphabets.

Evaluation

There will be four different sections in the quiz:
1.The Written Question:
2.The Matching Questions:
3.TheMultiple Choice Questions:
4. The True/False Questions:
Each section will include five questions (total of 40 questions). The students will be given 1 point for each correct answer.
The activities part will not be graded.

Reflection

I used to teach Arabic language for almost two years. There for, I found myself able to create an online course that will help the none Arabic speakers learn something that would be beneficial, helpful and unique for them in the future.
